Achievement Support at Shrewsbury House - a leading day school for boys, in Surbiton London | Private Prep school for boys in London and Surrey aged 7 Sub Menu

Curricular Support for pupils with SEND is excellent throughout the School.
ISI Inspection Report, May 2013

We are all born unique and all pupils should be given appropriate support and opportunities to be able to reach their full potential in school.

The Achievement Support Department believes in working closely with staff and parents to identify, advise and provide reasonable adjustment and support for all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Difficulties (SEND), including Able, Gifted and Talented (A, G and T) and English as an Additional Language (EAL).

When required, we aim to support each child’s studies through a range of strategies including after school reading clubs, lunchtime handwriting and word-processing clubs, in-class group support and targeted one-to-one support. Pupils identified with Special Educational Needs and Difficulties are provided with a structured programme of support through Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and, where appropriate, receive specialist support from both the School’s Achievement Support Co-ordinator as well as the Learning Enrichment Co-ordinator.
