Shrewsbury House is an academically rigorous school. The boys, from 7 -13, are able and will benefit from being stretched intellectually and nurtured pastorally.

    We are looking to appoint a committed, passionate mathematician to lead the Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will be an inspirational teacher and leader with strong motivational, communication, leadership and administrative skills and will have the ambition and drive to help the Preparatory School to continue its impressive development. The ability to teach pupils to Common Entrance and Scholarship level and willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the School, are essential.

    Shrewsbury House School (a boys’ prep school in Surbiton, Surrey), Shrewsbury Lodge School (a mixed pre-prep school in Esher, Surrey) and (from August 2017) The Rowans School (a mixed pre-prep in Wimbledon, Surrey) require a new Head of Trust Marketing to start in May 2017.   Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience

    These are exciting times for Shrewsbury House School Trust with The Rowans School transferring to the ownership of the Trust from King’s College School in August 2017.  We are looking to appoint a new Head of Trust Marketing to be responsible for all aspects of the promotion and marketing of the Trust, as well as exploring new opportunities and markets. The successful candidate will have the drive, ambition and commitment to get involved in helping the three Trust Schools continue their impressive development and will thrive on being involved in all aspects of marketing and communications, from planning strategy right through to getting involved in preparing eye-catching marketing materials.  Some previous experience in a similar role in a School would be an advantage, but marketing experience and qualifications are equally vital as is the ability to confidently manage social media and the three Schools’ websites.

    We are looking to appoint a full time motivated, flexible, proactive and committed Games Teacher. The successful candidate will be an inspirational practitioner and will have the ambition and drive to help the Preparatory School continue its impressive development. Experience coaching the School’s core sports of Rugby, Football and Cricket, is essential. The ability to and/or experience in teaching Geography and PE is preferred.  A full driving licence is essential (a D1 is highly desirable).  A willingness to be involved in the wider teaching and extra-curricular life of the school is essential.

    Full Year / Full Time (52 weeks / 40 hours pw) – Shift pattern

    Salary from £18,000p.a. (dependent on qualifications & experience).

    The Trust requires a flexible, self-motivated and suitably experienced Facilities Assistant to work across all Trust sites, Esher, Surbiton and Chessington (a newly acquired site in Wimbledon will also be coming on line in August 2017.)  A valid driving license is therefore essential.  The successful candidate will work well as part of a team, and have good communication skills.

    Required for September 2017 to July 2018 - IAPS Day Preparatory School for 320 boys aged 7 - 13. Average class size 15. Maximum class size 18. c.43 full time teachers

    Shrewsbury House is looking to appoint several Gap students for the duration of the new academic year 2017-18 to be involved in supporting the following subject areas: Sports, Maths, English, Art and DT plus other subjects. They will also support certain year groups.

    The Gap students will also be expected to become involved in and provide support to the wider community of the school.
