We were delighted to welcome guest speakers from Epsom College; the Peer Mentors from the Lower Sixth shared insights into the ongoing efforts needed to achieve a truly gender-equal world. This provided a valuable opportunity for our pupils to learn about real-world challenges and potential solutions. They were tasked to develop the ability to identify and understand bias in its various forms as well as to find the courage to voice concerns when encountering inequality. Our visitors were hugely impressed with the contributions and reflections from the SHS pupils who demonstrated a keen awareness of inequality and an understanding of the role they can play now, and in the future, to challenge stereotypes and bias.
