On Monday, the Eco Committee were joined by Mr Doble, Mrs Hand (Director of Communication & Compliance), Mr Eaves (Head of Pastoral Care) and Miss Raggett (Head of Trust Facilities) for a meeting over lunch in the Irving Room.
Aside from the delicious lunch laid on by the catering team, there was lengthy discussion about the action plan to gain Eco Status at the school. A new plastic bottle top collection scheme will be launched next week as a House competition.
Each year group will be taking on responsibility for different aspects of our work from reducing waste in the Dining Hall, to boosting the ‘switch and save’ scheme and maximising biodiversity in green spaces around the school grounds.
It was another step in gaining momentum for change to embrace a more sustainable future.
