Shrewsbury House was full of excitement for the annual Greek Day, celebrating all things Hellenic. In assembly pupils were greeted articulately in Modern Greek by Gregory N before Hugo R, Ollie C, Jack W and Peter P (all members of Greek Club) guided pupils through the many things which the Ancient Greeks have contributed to their school subjects, such as scientific developments, creative inspiration and even the names of the subjects themselves!
The rest of the day saw pupils enthusiastically perusing the school for clues to the mythology treasure hunt, enjoying the reading of Greek myths in the Library and engaging in many imaginative lesson activities. A particular hit with pupils and staff alike was the incredible lunch of delicious Greek food put on by our catering team, who are blessed with a specialist chef of the cuisine. We now eagerly await the results of the hotly-contested House Greek Quiz!
