Following a terribly wet September and October, fears were raised regarding the four-day camp held on the All-Weather-Surface (AWS) at Shrewsbury House. However, the Rugby Camp was blessed with four dry and enjoyable days! The camp is open to all and Shrewsbury House welcomed some younger brothers of SHS pupils and a number of boys from other schools.
All the boys enjoyed the opportunity of developing new skills, and honing their existing talent in readiness for the forthcoming schools rugby season. The boys benefited not just from expert SHS (and other) coaching expertise, but also from the first class facilities.
Mr Davison, Director of Sport, said, ‘It is always heartening to see so many young sports stars, from Years 1 – 8, in action during the holidays. Thank you to SHS for providing the wonderful facilities, to the fantastic coaches and to ALL the boys – great attitude in evidence throughout the week.’
