The long weekend provided welcome rest and relaxation for most, but not the Y6 U11A football team. Having achieved the amazing by qualifying for the ISFA National Finals the boys made the long journey to the home of English Football (St George’s Park) on Monday in readiness for the competition on Tuesday. An evening training session, a great dinner and a good night’s rest saw the boys well prepared for a very tough set of group matches. With the SHS team pitted in what was deemed the hardest pool, it was always going to be tough to make it through to the knock-out stages and so it transpired; despite outstanding play, and victories in three of the five matches, the team made a proud exit. Well done indeed to this fantastic group of boys.
