Maths 4s Challenge

On June 12th, our Senior Maths 4s competed in the Mashes Cup against Whitgift School. Proving victorious, the boys reclaimed the cup from a loss in November. Our pride does not stem solely from reclaiming the Mashes Cup from Whitgift School, though the victory was certainly hard-earned. Rather, it lies in the determination, resilience, and competitive spirit the team displayed throughout. The match was thrilling and closely contested, with a scoreline that left little room for comfort. However, as the scorecard shows, our mastery of core mathematical skills in the first four rounds enabled us to establish a decisive 12-point lead – one that ultimately proved unassailable. Overall, it was a tremendous effort from all involved. I sincerely hope that this experience fuels our pupils’ passion for competitive mathematics and inspires them to pursue it to even greater heights in the years ahead.
