Medal winners from last year’s London Youth Games were present alongside all of the winners of a whole host of awards. It was amazing to share the evening with such inspirational people, many of whom are supporting, participating and competing in para-sport. World renowned David Weir was present and received an award for his support of local wheelchair athletes. Nominated for Youth Sports Achiever of the Year was SHS’s own Gethin D – and he won! Gethin was an easy choice for nomination, not just because he is National, European and World medal winner in both diving and gymnastics, but because his contribution to SHS Sport has been outstanding. Well done Gethin – we are very proud!
