The School Council

A School Council has been elected annually since 2011, consisting of three boys from each year group plus the Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy. The School Council meets at least once each half of term to discuss a variety of matters relating to School life and is an important conduit for pupil voice.

The Council also recommends charities to benefit from the food donations and retiring collection at the Annual Harvest Service, the retiring collection at the Christmas Carol Service and has been involved in a number of charitable ventures.

In recent years, the School Council was recognised by the Rt Hon John Bercow, MP, Speaker of the House of Commons, for its contribution to the school community as a result of their creation of the Junior Playground Quiet Area.

The School Council for 2018–19 was announced in Assembly in late September and Mr Doble presented the boys with their badges. The School Council is elected by their Year Group peers and plays an important role in school life.

The new School Council for 2019-2020 will be elected in the second half of the Autumn Term.
