A powerful assembly, beautifully supported by the performances of Training Voices and Pharell A-T who read a moving section from Maya Angelou’s poem, ‘Still I Rise’.
The stories of notable figures were explored such as: John Edmonstone, Walter Tull, Dame Anita Barrow and Simone Biles, the Olympic athlete whose story most resonated with the boys.
