Our senior Maths Fours, Alex C, Bertie M, Hugo N and Eric S, hosted Surbiton High School; an exciting occasion as the boys prepared to compete against an all-girl opponent team for the first time. The match remained a close contest throughout with Surbiton taking an initial starter lead that was overturned into a 3-point advantage for Shrewsbury by half-time. There was nothing to separate the two sides with our Maths Fours narrowly edging the Team round, scoring 10-9 to go into the final round of races. The consistency in our training with races gave us the slim margin we needed to claim another victory, with a final score of 28-19. At the final whistle, it was relief all-round for our Maths Fours – brilliant result boys!
