The SHS Ski Team had a great first competitive outing at the Alpine Snowsports Centre in Aldershot for the English Schools Ski Association Regional Qualifier race, competing against a number of other London and Surrey Schools.
Most of our boys hadn’t raced before and the boys faced challenging conditions, with heavy rain leading to less grip on the course but all fourteen boys persevered and skied the slalom course well. Much fun was had by all and valuable experience was gained.
A very strong team performance by SHS Year 6 Team A has led to them qualifying for the National Finals of the English Schools’ Skiing Championships in Norfolk in October, which is a fantastic result.
