The School Council have assisted in selecting The Change Foundation as the School Charity for 2022-23. This year we had over 30 entries from boys and staff across the school making the decision a very difficult one. Thank you to all the boys and their families for discussing ideas at home and putting forward so many worthwhile causes. The shortlist was selected and then voted on by the School Council, who equally found the selection process challenging as they wanted to help everyone.
The Change Foundation was nominated by Mr Baker who said the following:
‘We all have a sport or an activity we love, but imagine not being able to access it due to your finances, your disability or your personal circumstances. The Change Foundation is a charity supporting disadvantaged young people in London and overseas who use sport to learn lifelong lessons. I worked for the charity for nearly a decade visiting some of the world’s most dangerous and poverty ridden countries seeing the impact the charity had on disadvantaged communities and am delighted to see Shrewsbury House support this amazing charity’.
