Townsend-Warner History Competition – superb results for Shrewsbury House Pupils

Shrewsbury House has taken part in the annual Townsend-Warner History Prize Competition every year since it began in 1885.

This year despite the complications of Lockdown and a long delay a team of SHS boys sat Paper One just before we broke for Easter. The Harrow School organisers and markers reported that more than 1000 students from Prep Schools across the UK took part this year.

The SHS team was made up of the Year 8 Scholarship group plus some additional volunteers to sit the paper.

It has just been announced that 11 SHS boys have qualified for Paper 2 in May with some amazing results, one pupil came third in the country with an incredible 86%!

Many congratulations boys and good luck for the Paper 2 in May.
