Virtual World Book Day

Fantastic to see so many boys and teachers make such an effort with their costumes virtually during World Book Day on Thursday 4th March.

Years 3, 4 and 5 not only had an amazing range of beautifully illustrated homemade storybooks but they also delved into some the World Book Day resources provided in an especially created Google Classroom.  Year 6 started the day with a fanfare of the theme of Harry Potter on the trumpet from Brannon Woods before sharing their Macbeth projects.

Year 7 boys designed dioramas of a creepy setting, incorporating as many elements of Gothic Literature that they have covered into their designs (pictured here).

Year 8 boys worked on a more literal interpretation of the theme of ‘Share A Story’ with some boys volunteering to read picture books to the Rowans Pre-Prep and Shrewsbury House Pre-Preparatory schools. Their efforts were very much appreciated and enjoyed by the children at both schools.
