There has been a buzz of excitement at the arrival of our chicks. As part of the Year 5 Life Cycles topic, eggs we carefully transferred to a warm incubator where boys kept a close eye on the live webcam in hope of seeing them hatch. Our patience was rewarded when we were greeted by five lively chicks. Now the chicks are comfortable in their new home, boys had the opportunity to hold the chicks in their science lessons.
Our butterflies also hatched from their cocoons this week and we released them in the playground together.
