Year 3 had a brilliant trip to Butser Ancient Farm. Despite experiencing sun, wind, rain and even hail at one point, the boys did not let this dampen their spirits and enthusiastically joined in a variety of Iron Age and Roman activities. The morning was spent learning to spin wool and build a flint wall, before they enjoyed lunch in a reconstructed Iron Age house with a fire to warm them from the strong winds outside.
A tour of the Roman villa, mosaic designing and jewellery-making completed the day, with the boys all coming home with their own Roman style bracelet or ring. An excellent (although cold!) day. Thank you to all of the boys for their enthusiasm and thoughtful questions throughout the trip.
