Year 4 took to the stage with great enthusiasm on 22nd March, presenting the original production of ‘Switch!’ The story followed three boys who, on a rainy day, get sucked into their Nintendo Switch. They then have to complete four different games to make their way back to reality.
There were fantastic performances across all classes. The wonderful array of characters came to life on stage with thanks to the great efforts from SHS parents and their sourcing of the perfect costumes. Advanced Drama club also supported the dramatic effects with Year 7 and Year 8 boys running the lighting (Rishaan K), sound (Ayush A), backdrops (Leo F) make up and backstage.
The audience were thoroughly entertained by the scenes, each including a song linked to the game being played. There were stand out performances from boys who have blossomed in confidence over the last few weeks, gaining a range of skills for the play. It was fantastic to see the boys take on larger speaking roles and we are starting to see the shimmer of star quality.
