Year 7 delivered a moving and captivating performance of ‘Archie Dobson’s War’ to a packed house. The poignant presentation paid a heartfelt tribute to the heroes of World War I. Beautiful renditions of Stille Nacht, echoed with Silent Night, reminded us of the pause in the war late on Christmas Eve 1914, whilst a melancholic rendition of ‘Pack up your troubles in your old kit pack’ so effectively showcased the mixed emotions when the communication arrived for individuals to confirm they had been conscripted to serve their country.
