Something for All: A new chapter for every boy at Shrewsbury House

A clearer pathway, for those who want it

For families considering senior independent education, the Charter introduces a stewarded route to St Paul’s School. This is not a guarantee of a place, nor is it the right path for every family. However it does mean that boys who are on this journey are known early, supported thoughtfully and guided carefully. It brings greater clarity to a process that can often feel uncertain, with closer collaboration between schools and earlier identification of potential.

Importantly, our approach remains unchanged. Shrewsbury House has always prepared boys for a wide range of leading senior schools, and that will continue. The Charter simply strengthens what is already in place.

More for every boy, every day

The second part of the Charter is where its impact will be felt most widely.

From September 2026, all boys will take part in a Group-wide Enrichment Programme, including a certificated course designed to prepare them for the world they are growing into, not the one we grew up in.

This means developing the skills that matter most:

  • thinking clearly and solving problems in an AI-shaped world

  • speaking with confidence and purpose

  • understanding enterprise and initiative

  • building resilience and self-awareness

These are not bolt-on extras. They sit alongside academic learning and are part of how we ensure boys leave Shrewsbury House ready for what comes next.

Part of something bigger

OptimizedImage,,,OptimizedBeing part of the St Paul’s School Group brings real advantages. It connects our boys to a wider network of expertise, opportunity and shared experience, from academic collaboration to competitions and leadership opportunities. What matters most is that it strengthens, rather than changes, who we are.

Shrewsbury House remains a place where every boy is known, where expectations are high and where opportunities are broad. The Charter builds on that foundation, ensuring that every boy benefits from being part of a community that is both grounded and forward-looking.

Looking ahead

The Something for All Charter marks an important moment for the school. It reflects both our heritage and our ambition. A school that knows what it stands for and delivers it consistently gives families confidence. This Charter is a clear expression of that.
