The audience were treated to a diverse programme of music, including music inspired by the American Wild West from Training Voices, music for a medieval short dance from Concert Band, the theme tune from a popular TV show from Brass Ensemble, American folk music from Symphonic Wind Band, two pop hits from SHS Voices, a song by ABBA from Junior Strings, another popular game show theme from the Woodwind Ensemble, Rossini’s famous galop from the String Ensemble, two classic rock hits from Middle and Senior Bands, before Jazz One rounded the evening off with some fantastic improvised music based on some foot tapping melodies. An inspiring combination of inclusivity and aiming high, with close to 100 boys involved in a wide range of ensembles. Well done boys!
